Megan Long, MA (she/her)

Masters Level Resident in Counseling: License #0704016657

Virtual Only Therapist: Tween and Adolescent, SSP Provider to all Ages

Megan has an infectious positivity about her, but it comes with this wonderfully calm and grounded presence. When she talks you can hear the smile in her voice.

She is genuine, relational, and incredibly easy to connect with. She approaches her sessions creatively and is always curious about what might be happening beneath the surface.

I love hearing the detective in her come out when she wonders whether a client's symptoms might be telling us something more, including something worth exploring with their doctor.

She brings together curiosity, creativity, and a really tender way of caring about people.

Meet Megan...

I work virtually with older children and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and other challenges that can make it hard to feel like themselves. I am a strong LGBTQIA+ advocate.

I especially enjoy working creatively with young people. Even virtually, therapy does not have to mean sitting in front of a screen and simply talking.

I incorporate art, virtual sand tray, mindfulness, therapeutic activities, and other creative approaches to help clients explore and express things that may be harder to put into words.

I also have a particular interest in the places where physical and mental health overlap.

I am curious about how things like stress hormones, nutrition, gut health, sleep, and other physiological factors may influence mood, behavior, and overall functioning.

This interest has led me to pursue additional training in PANS/PANDAS and to look at the whole person when someone is struggling.

I am also a trained provider of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP). SSP is available as a standalone service, which means you can participate while continuing to work with your current therapist.

I am currently in the final months of my residency and working toward independent licensure. As a Resident in Counseling, I am under the supervision of Gabrielle Anderson, LMFT, RPT-S and Rebecca Washington, LPC.

Outside of the office, I enjoy functional nutrition and cooking nourishing meals, yoga, road trips, creating art, exploring new ideas through podcasts, and walking my dog.
