Melissa Estes (Yee), LPC, ATR-BC, MA (she/her)

State Approved Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified Art Therapist

Therapist: Teens, Parents, Families & Adults

Melissa has been part of FTC almost from the beginning, starting with us at the tail end of her residency.

There is something wonderfully grounding about Melissa. She brings a calm, steady presence into the room while also being wildly creative in the ways she helps clients explore what is happening beneath the surface.

She is thoughtful, deeply attuned, and never afraid to move beyond traditional talk therapy when words are not quite enough.

Meet Melissa...

I am committed to offering a holistic, strengths-based approach for individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, and deeply rooted belief patterns.

I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their authentic selves and move forward with greater clarity and self-confidence.

Clients often experience me as calm, grounded, and deeply attuned, with an ability to listen beyond words and identify new possibilities.

My work is trauma-informed and person-centered, integrating cognitive-behavioral strategies with experiential tools such as guided imagery, role-play, art-based reflection, and self-care education. My advanced training includes EMDR, DBT, intensive trauma therapy, meditation, and sand tray.

Outside of the office, I find balance through time in nature, travel, creative expression, movement, and meaningful connection with loved ones. I enjoy life alongside my husband, my daughter, and a lively group of animal companions.
