Therese (Terri) Smith, LPC, RPT™ (she/her)

Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist

Registered PlayTherapist™: Children as Young as 3 and Older

Talk Therapist: Young Adults

One of my favorite things about having my office near the waiting room is hearing Terri greet her young clients. She is warm, positive, affirming, and so genuinely happy to see them.

Terri has a wonderful “come exactly as you are” way about her. Whether a child is quirky, struggling with their behavior, sensitive, or simply figuring out who they are, Terri helps them see their differences and symptoms as something to understand and sometimes even feel proud of.

Children and parents respond to her fun, down-to-earth energy, and she makes parent involvement an important part of her work with children.

Meet Terri...

I am dedicated to supporting individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, stress, and self-esteem challenges.

My work focuses on helping clients connect with their authentic, empowered selves through emotional healing and overall wellness.

With children, I use play and creative therapy approaches. With teens young adults, I take a person-centered approach that emphasizes the therapeutic relationship and integrates talk therapy with creative expression, including art activities and sand tray when desired.

I collaborate closely with clients to tailor sessions to their individual needs, preferences, and goals.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and pets, reading, listening to music, and cooking.
